Join Frog Tree Farm and our community partners for We Are the Harvest: A Sankofa Celebration of Black Legacy & Joy on Saturday, November 21, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Mississippi Gateway Regional Park in Brooklyn Park.
This free community event brings people of all ages together to celebrate Black culture, creativity, entrepreneurship, agriculture, and community. The day will feature a Black-owned vendor marketplace, community resource fair, youth and family activities, storytelling and art, animals, live music, and food trucks.
Guests are also invited to participate in community conversations featuring Voices of Black Women Farmers in Minnesota and The Young Black Entrepreneur Experience. These conversations will celebrate the journeys, lessons, and visions of Black farmers and Minnesota’s next generation of Black entrepreneurs.

The Frog Tree Farm, a multigenerational Black owned farm in Wadena County MN, is interested in making a fair living creating products and building community while staying focused on social justice, and sustainability. The profits from the products produced on the farm are reinvested in the farm to support its growing infrastructure. People are coming to the farm to learn, grow, and build self-efficacy.
Frog Tree Farm is a certified Minority-, Woman-, and Small-Owned Business dedicated to advancing social justice, sustainability, and community well‑being. We provide consulting services to for-profit and nonprofit organizations, helping them build fair and inclusive cultures, equitable systems, and environmentally responsible practices that address historical disparities. Our expertise includes operational strategy, policy design, learning initiatives, and cultural transformation—anchored in justice, belonging, and long-term resilience.





















Our nonprofit Friends of Frog Tree Farm supports community access to Frog Tree Farm, facilitating community engagement with the farm. We focus on raising funds through grants and donations to support culturally enriching programming, farm preservation, and retreat sponsorship.
